Sydney's only dedicated textile and fibre art gallery, showcasing the work of Australian and international artists through a dynamic program of exhibitions and events. Opened in 2017 when the NSW Embroiderers’ Guild transformed its century-old HQ into a bright, contemporary space, the non-profit facility includes galleries, workshop rooms, a historic collection and specialist textile art library.

Current Exhibitions

We have some very special and tantalising exhibits booked for 2022 and hope to have captured your interest and hearts. Plenty of advanced notice with many months of exhibits to look forward to. We are located at 76 Queen Street Concord West and welcome visitors weekdays from 9am - 4pm and on weekends from 10am to 2pm (public holidays excluded).

Topophilia: A Sense of Belonging
by Helen MacRitchie Sep 3 (opening at 4pm) to Oct 2

In Topophilia, Helen MacRitchie examines her life across three countries, reflecting on her feeling of home for each. Helen currently resides in Oxfordshire UK, and makes abstracted works with a wet felted wool base which is layered with textural surfaces or sculptural forms.

ABANDON sees visual artist Leonie Andrews bring this concept to life through the impulsive use of colour on found and discarded objects. Leonie works across a range of media and is a graduate of the Australian national University School of Arts.

The Roma Field 'Traditional Embroidery' Competition
Opening on  Oct 8 at 4pm with the Exhibition continuing through until Oct 30

Advanced notice to all that we have called for members to enter in this prestigious competition. The Roma Field competition fosters the achievement of traditional embroidery design and techniques. Entry details for Members are available now
