This workshop is designed to investigate Basic Colour Theory and to familiarise students with the various terminologies and language associated with colour and its role in design and planning colour schemes for original embroideries and textile works.

Information will also be discussed on the characteristics, symbolism, moods and the psychology of colour.


Completion of this workshop is necessary for students wishing to enrol in the Contemporary Stitch & Design Certificate who haven’t explored colour in the Basic Course or equivalent, and who have not explored colour in the Introduction to Embroidery Course or equivalent.
