Colouring Fabric with Inktense Pencils – Would you like to extend your embroidery projects by colouring the background and motifs of a design with Inktense Pencils?



How to use Inktense Pencils: 
  • Learn how to colour with Inktense pencils on paper and fabric and the tools needed to make this easy 
  • Learn how to grade colour in a tonal chart on paper and on fabric, 
  • Make a shaded colour chart with all your pencils on fabric, 
  • Do exercises in mixing colours and shading areas in a design, 
  • Using different tools to transfer a design on fabric and colour it with Inktense pencils, 
  • Learn how to make your colouring with Inktense pencils stay permanent on fabric, 
  • Different fabrics suitable for colouring with Inktense pencils, 
  • Watercolour the background of your design with Inktense pencils and blocks, 
  • The Inktense pencils are permanent with fabric medium and can be washed.

Study over 8 months a series of classes to explore colouring on fabric with Inktense Pencils

  1. Introduction, fabrics, tools, build a colour chart, tonal exercises and grading of colours on a design.
  2. Colouring a project – Book Mark.
  3. Embroidery and embellishment of coloured designs, make a stitch glossary.
  4. Colourwash a background
  5. Explore elements to make different textures
  6. Watercolour a motif
