We are excited to offer a workshop by renowned Australian sculptor and felt maker Anita Larkin.  This is a great opportunity to learn Anita’s particular method of felt making.  You will begin by learning some essential skills, making a simple seedpod vessel using wool fibres, soapy water and agitation with your hands.  Then you will learn Anita’s method of skinfelting to create intriguing felted shapes that are cut, stitched and manipulated during the felting process. Learn how to create multiple pockets in your felt forms, and how to embed fabrics, yarns (or more wool) to achieve high relief textures upon the felt surface.

This is an inspiring class that will teach you many new skills in feltmaking to create Nature’s Forms. All you need to bring is a towel and a pair of pliers.  Anita will supply everything else for $15 (payable to the tutor) You can bring objects from nature for inspiration if you like.
