Students will work a contemporary Australian design in traditional Irish White Work technique. The Kookaburra and Eucalypt flowers and leaves will be depicted by couching a variety of linen threads on silk organza and net. The lawn will be cut away to reveal this charming decorative motif. The  design will be further embellished with filling stitches, pops and guipure. Further embellishment with pearl beads and iridescent  sequins is optional.

The image is of the preliminary drawings. An image of the worked design will be included as soon as it is finished
