Bespoke embroidery has become really significant in the Slow Fashion Movement. If a garment is hand embroidered it will be cherished.

An inspirational Powerpointwill be shown on the 1st day and other resources will be available to view and photograph. You will be guided through designing for embroidery to customise old garments or to embellish a new garment, accessory or any other textile product. It is on trend at the moment to base designs on illustrations, creatures and huge florals.

Bespoke embroidery features surface stitching, goldwork and bead & sequin embroidery. Quite often they are combined in the one work. There will be demonstrations of surface stitching techniques using robust threads. Demonstrations for goldwork and bead & sequin embroidery will be done as required. Samples to be worked over the 2 days.

There will be a variety of surface stitching threads, metal threads, beads and sequins available for sale.

Skill level:  Intermediate to Advanced
